Verizon has Family Share Plans where you can customize the package that you want for your family. It’s called a Plan Builder, and it’s basically a Friends & Family plan where you start building a custom plan to save minutes and money. You can base the plan on how much each member of your plan talks, texts, surfs for email, etc. You can add email to the plan, or even video on demand, or the navigator. You can pick friends or family, add land lines, and choose how many minutes you would like!
T-Mobile Cellular Family Plans
T-Mobile cell phones family plans seem a little more basic. A family plan starts with two people, and you can add from there, with a basic fee charged for each person. Their unlimited talk plans start at around $79.99 and go up from there depending on whether you use text or web access. Those are always extra. You can have a plan that’s much less that starts at 750 minutes per month. But the plans will include free nationwide calling to other T-Mobile customers (on the Even More Plus plans). Also free nights and weekends, and some Whenever Minutes that you can use anytime.
AT&T has a good selection of plans for cellphone family plans. Starting with the 550 nationwide plan all the way up to unlimited worldwide plans. There’s unlimited calling, of course, at nights and weekends for all of the lines added for most of their plans. You also get unlimited calling to other AT&T cell phone customers with their Mobile to Mobile nationwide plan. And there’s no long distance or roaming charges in the United States. The neat thing about AT&T, too, is that you can save your unused minutes using their Rollover plan.
Sprint Cell Phone Family Plans
Sprint has an Everything Family Plan that starts with and includes just about everything. You get unlimited data services that include web surfing, email, GPS, music channels and TV channels, and even some NFL and NASCAR channels. But the plan also includes unlimited text messaging, unlimited talk nationwide with no roaming charges. And it starts with 2 lines. Additional lines are extra. Sprint also has plans that include more limited minutes, like 1,500 and 3,000 minute plans. Or you can get basic talk plans.
The thing that needs to be considered most about how to compare cell phone plans is that THEY ARE ALL DIFFERENT! But it’s easy enough to to to each cell phone service above and browse through the available cell phone plans.
